Supporting Tomorrow's Texas Leaders

The Alamo Mission Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas believes that investing in education is one of the most meaningful ways to preserve the legacy of Texas. Through our annual scholarship program, we recognize outstanding students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to sharing the history of our state.

In partnership with the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation, the Alamo Mission Chapter proudly awards two $5,000 scholarships each year to qualified graduating seniors from San Antonio-area high schools.

As part of the application process, students are invited to reflect on the importance of Texas history by submitting an original essay describing how they have personally contributed to teaching others about the history of Texas.

By supporting students who value education, service, and Texas heritage, we hope to inspire the next generation of leaders who will continue preserving and sharing the story of our great state.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

Be a graduating senior attending a San Antonio-area high school.
Apply through their high school's scholarship process.
Meet the eligibility requirements established by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation.
Complete the required Texas history essay.

How to Apply

Applications for the Alamo Mission Chapter Scholarship are coordinated through the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation and participating San Antonio-area high schools.

Students interested in applying should speak with their high school counselor, who can provide application materials, eligibility requirements, and scholarship deadlines.
