Alamo Mission Chapter is encouraging our local students in grades 1 - 12th to participate in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas State Annual Art Contest.  This art contest promotes Texas heritage and history. The student learns about Texas historical sites, events and individuals that lived in Texas during the period of 1820 to 1850, as they research for the subject of their artwork.

Artwork is judged by division locally through Alamo Mission Chapter. Deadline: January 10th each year..

Then sent to the state level for judging.  Deadline: February 1st each year.

This gives the students two opportunities to showcase their artwork.

The Divisions are:

Division 1: Grades 1 - 5                                  Division 2: Grades 6 - 8                              Division 3: Grades 9 - 12
